Welcome! We know that anyone, including you, has something to offer, to advocate for, and to improve the lives of the communities we serve. The UFW Foundation strives to create an environment that promotes camaraderie, diversity, community, professional growth, respect, AND FUN for community members by offering various opportunities for members at all levels of their career and at all levels of commitment. Together, we can improve the lives and working conditions of farm workers, immigrants, and underserved communities. Please see our list of open volunteer, internship, and fellowship opportunities below.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Community Outreach and Event Volunteer: Join our field team in supporting program outreach efforts. This may include checking-in community members for their workshop appointments, assisting community members with applications and documentation, canvassing, phone banking, collecting testimonies, and event set-up / clean-up.

Internship and Fellowship Program

We are excited to offer internship and fellowship opportunities to students and recent graduates. Internships are currently unpaid; however, we are happy to complete any paperwork to assist with academic credit, field placement, and outside funding. Individuals interested in having us host them for national and/or law school fellowships should contact Jacqueline Sernas at [email protected]

  • Legal Intern (Law School Students Only): The UFW Foundation Legal Intern will work with attorneys and DOJ accredited representatives on immigration affirmative and removal defense cases, complex research, and have the opportunity to develop a case. The Legal Intern will also participate in advocacy efforts, including outreach and education events. We are accepting applications for Spring and Summer. For information on requirements, click here.

  • Storm Assistance for Immigrants  (SAI) Internship: The SAI Program internship is a unique opportunity to contribute to a critical initiative aimed at providing direct services. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the intern will get hands-on experience in community engagement, social impact work, and case management. We are accepting applications for Spring.
